Monthly Archives: August 2013

Christina has always had an interest in photography. I remember having my 110 camera at Yellowstone park snapping pictures as a child. I was always capturing moments as I look back on pictures. However when I became a "mom" I knew I wanted to capture more than the "cheese" moment. I wanted to capture all I could to keep those moments visually forever! I always had my camera with me and dreamed of getting an DSLR. Then one black Friday my wish came true {no I was not out by my husband went out to get it and wait in line to surprise me}.
Little did I know what my husband unlocked inside me when he surprised me - I was in love with my D80 but I had so much to learn {which I got right to as I snapped hundreds of pics that weekend putting up holiday decorations}. Thank goodness I had wonderful little models & my family & friends soon got use to that bigger camera being there all time and me snapping away.
After a few years with my D80, I was working at home as a tax consultant and I was asked to take pictures of my friends kids {boy was I nervous}. That one session led to a few more friends pictures and I loved doing it. I realized that this was more than just a passion but something I could do and say I love my job {more than I loved taxes}. So I took a leap of faith {thanks for my husband, family & friends for supporting me} but here I am now six years later.
This is a little slice of heaven for me. I love going to work! I love providing my clients with something that they will treasure even more tomorrow when time has once again gone by too fast. And I love that the photo sessions allow families to interact - relax and have fun! It's capturing LIFE & TODAY!!
Outside of photography I am a wife to Owen for 12 years and a mom to Ella, Carter & Noah who are somehow going to be 11, 9 and 7 this year. Life is never dull with us and always full of fun, learning and challenges. We love to be outdoors & being together as a family. I love taking my daughter to girly outings with me nails; shopping & lunch and my boys can't go to the zoo or aquarium enough and love sports. I know time is a precious gift and I always try to make the most of it. Many would say that I am always on the go taking the kids to something whether it be fun or activities, and I can't deny that. Life is busy but I love it and am truly blessed to have a wonderful family & a job I love!!
Somehow it has been almost a month since my last blog post. I have many images to share with you from the last monthView full post »
