a day filled with so much emotion – tinley park birth & newborn photography

As a mother, I can close my eyes and think about the day each one of my children were born.

It seems like yesterday and is so clear!!

However, I know as they are growing tall and with minds of their own it was some time ago…..

As I have been on this photography journey, I have always loved providing moments to families to treasure.

I first met the “J” family when their son turned one; then he was two; then baby two was expected in February!  So we did some maternity images and the newborn session was booked.  During all these sessions, I loved getting to know this family and always looked forward to their next session.  After the maternity session we are talking about the newborn session and I discussed the possibility of capturing that first visit with the new baby and son!  While this was something new and I didn’t have a sample to show her, I told her it would capture those first moments.  It would capture those moments you could enjoy as a parent and not have to worry about the camera {or iphone}.  So given it was a scheduled c-section and I was available when grandma and grandpa were bringing up her son, she let me share this truly priceless time with them.

Although it was a cold February day this little recovery room was filled with so much warmth and love!!! We came away with images and a video that will be treasured forever!  I only wish I had one of these when I had all of my kids!!!  While I haven’t added this as an option to newborn parents, I am thinking of it and if you were interested I’d love to talk to you about!!

And then I met up with them a few days later at their home once they were settled to capture some newborn images of the little one.  He was an absolute angel for his session!!  And his big brother was still crazy about him!!

On that note I am accepting newborn sessions into the fall and I have already booked three newborns for October!
