sometimes I should never say never – tinley park family photographer

I hope everyone enjoyed the LONG holiday weekend.  I was so excited to have FOUR days with nothing going on – no baseball, no work, no parties, just time with the family.  This is how we ended up with our newest family member :

Yes I have chatted with MANY clients and said the same thing “my kids are begging for a dog and it’s not going to happen with a list of reasons”.  Well after our some hundredth trip in the pet store {after they were so good as we were shopping for a new mattress} we let them “play” with a puppy {or two}.  They were just cuddling with this boston terrier puppy but then said it was a lost cause because I will NEVER let them have a pet.  I was still on the fence.  I was torn.  I was so not sure I was ready for a puppy.  However my husband pulled the trigger knowing I was having a hard time but lately had really started to think maybe it could happen.  And we brought “Buddy” home.  These are the moments I will remember – The tears in my oldest sons eye that he FINALLY had a pet; the jumping up and down from my daughter with a smile ear to ear  that she can’t believe we said yes, and  the youngest with a smile saying we really are taking him home.

Yes it has been a lot of work the last 48 hours but he is growing on me and loves to cuddle.  I am loving this little guy even though he is keeping me on my toes.  I am reading all I can and trying to learn all I can about him, crate training, etc.  So I was really “off line” most of the weekend if anything was sent over.

I just had to share our news with you as we tend to “jump” into things – kind of like how I was asked to take a friends children’s picture and wasn’t sure how they would be four years ago since I never really officially did it.  Hoping our dog adventure goes as well as my photography adventure : )
